Great News for City of Avondale Residents 10/31/2010
Earlier this month the City of Avondale announced its own energy efficiency rebate program that is in addition to APS and SRP’s current efficiency rebates. That means that Avondale is making lower utilities, year-round comfort and better indoor air quality a reality by lowering the costs for home performance retrofits for its residents. The program only has a limited amount of funds available and it is first-come, first-served. Rebates are available for the initial energy audit, duct sealing, air sealing, insulation, shade screens and efficient AC units and the great news is that only Home Performance with Energy Star Contractors can facilitate the rebates, keeping the bad apples out of the program. The table below summarizes the limited rebates available. If you are curious which upgrade to do first, check our post on The Pecking Order of Energy Upgrades. Residents need to be current on their water bill payments, have a photo ID and a recent utility bill and your home performance contractor will facilitate the rest of the paperwork.
